Riveter Chocolate-
A Tribute to Strength
& Sweetness
Riveter Chocolate is a bold, nostalgic brand inspired by Rosie the Riveter, the iconic symbol of female empowerment during WWII. As well as the Art Nouveau art movement. The collection celebrates strength, resilience, and the sweetness of shared victory through a line of artisanal chocolate products and complementary packaging.

The Challenge
Creating packaging that felt vintage yet modern required balancing era-specific design cues with current design standards. Ensuring functionality for each item—especially the bar holder and muffin box—also meant thoughtful prototyping and testing for structure and user interaction.
The Solution
Riveter Chocolate presents a compelling, empowering brand narrative wrapped in nostalgic charm. The packaging is both functional and collectible, aiming to leave a lasting impression—much like Rosie herself and art Art Nouveau combined.

Art Nouveau is characterized by its use of a long, sinuous, organic line and was employed most often in architecture, interior design, jewelry and glass design, posters, and illustration

Role
As the sole designer on this project, I led the concept development, brand storytelling, visual identity creation, and all packaging design elements.:
-
Researched and developed the Rosie the Riveter concept as the core inspiration.
-
Designed each package item from scratch, including dielines and mockups.
Results
The rebrand was met with excitement from long-time patrons and drew in a new wave of younger customers. The mobile app became a key touchpoint for daily coffee-goers, streamlining orders and deepening loyalty. Arabica Coffeehouse now stands out in the local scene with a brand identity that feels both fresh and familiar.
